I make use of TinyMediaManager to do my initial sorting & fill in some of the numerous shortcoming inherent in Plex - finding correct data, pulling subtitles & art, writing NFO's, etc. Principal being that Plex's media management tools - or severe lack thereof - makes it incredibly hard to maintain a good, clean library. I've also been dealing with this issue (amongst a LOOOONG list) - a feature-set & complementary tools I took for granted coming from XBMC/Kodi. I think this is a valid question & /u/paulrharve圓 ad hominem insults do absolutely nothing to address the root issue being raised. A batch job, if you will, that presents me with a list of unmatched movies, runs a db search that isn't utterly broken (i.e. It is written to provide metadata for the Kodi Media Center (formerly known as XBMC), MediaPortal and Plex media server. tinyMediaManager is a media management tool written in Java/Swing. The real reason I'm writing this (aside from the vent) is to ask if there's a way to re-check all of the movies which are not matched without manually selecting each one. Just create a fork and add a folder with your github name and put your configs inside and then submit a pull request. Plex Match, if I've read the documentation correctly, is *supposed* to check both it's internal db and TMB. And I would be happy to take the blame, EXCEPT that when I request a match from Plex Match it fails but when I manually select The Movie Database it instantly matches. Now, before you jump on me for poor media management - yes, some of my folders do not have (year) in them. Plex knew what they were at one time because the cover art is correct. Somewhere in the last few iterations of my Plex server, I've lost (or perhaps never had) a proper database match for many of my movies.
